How Obama Embraces Islam's Sharia Agenda

While Americans focus on terrorism, a more insidious Islamist threat to our way of life lurks. It is the agenda of sharia, Islam’s authoritarian legal and political system. The global Islamist movement aims, in the words of the international Muslim Brotherhood, to destroy the West by sabotaging it from within. Its principal strategy is not mass-murder but the exploitation of Western freedoms and the insinuation of sharia principles into Western legal systems. Because those principles are hostile to our core liberties - indeed, hostile even to the bedrock premise that people are free to govern themselves as they see fit - sharia’s advance gradually undermines our culture.

The sharia agenda has found a friend in the Obama administration, which has embraced its vanguard, including the Brotherhood and the Organization of the Islamic Conference. President Obama is actively abetting the Islamist promoting sharia in his foreign policy, easing enforcement of laws that stop Islamic “charities†from diverting funds to jihadist terror, and even sponsoring a United Nations resolution that - under the guise of insulating Islam from criticism - would stifle First Amendment rights.

This guy is a nut. The job of Obama and every president is to embrace Americans of every faith, including Muslims. The characterization of every Muslim as a terrorist is ludicrous. Every faith has its extremists. Judaism has its extreme Orthodox, and Christianity, my own faith, has the scariest extremists of all.

People like McCarthy are the reason our nation is currently torn into pieces. They propagate vicious untruths about innocent people. My Muslim friends are among the kindest gentlest people I have ever known. McCarthy himself is the only bad guy in this book.

Andrew C McCarthy is an experienced US Federal Prosecutor who has successfully tried and convicted Islamic terrorists connected with the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. through his work he has become one the foremost authorities on terrorism and Islamic extremists and has written several books on the topic. Knowing that is what attracted me to this book and I have already queued up more of his books. In How Obama Embraces Islam's Sharia Agenda he explains that because of Islam's strict sharia laws, criticism of any kind of Islam, Mohammed, Allah, etc (what we consider free speech) is forbidden and usually punishable by death. Muslims that support strict sharia law (a majority of Muslims according to the author) may be violent or non-violent but both want to eventually see sharia law enforced globally in every country. By working with groups associated with the Muslim Brotherhood, the core group promoting sharia law by any means, such as CAIR, MSA, OIC the Obama administration was actively abetting the Islamist platform. This includes Promoting sharia law, easing enforcement of laws that stop Islamic charities from funding jihadist terror, and promoting UN resolutions that aim to stifle our free speech. Sharia is Islam's all-encompassing combined system of religion and law. Instead of separation of church and state they want the church and state as the same entity under Islam. Fascinating book and the author, being a lawyer, makes many other interesting points that should concern all of us.
