For use in schools and libraries only. An illustrated collection of riddles about snakes, including "What kind of snake do you find on the front of your car? A windshield viper!
Our girls seem to be enamored with riddles right now and during a visit to the library, we came across more riddle books by Katy Hall and Lisa Eisenberg. So we read this book as well as Dino Riddles. We couldn't find our youngest's all-time favorite, Mummy Riddles, but I'm sure she'll find it and read it again soon. They all have very corny jokes, but fun nonetheless. And the illustrations are fun, too.
This book has a riddle (and its answer) on every page, illustrated in a childish way using watercolors, and all of the riddles are related to snakes. This book is a very easy read with no ‘deeper meaning’ or substantial morale – it is marked as a ‘East-To-Read’ book, and works as a children’s riddle book. The front pages are all illustrated with snakes, going along with the title to suggest a book related to snakes. Snakey Riddles can be effectively used to help interest struggling early readers in reading and literacy - as the riddles are all easy to understand and light-weight.
