I started reading this about two years ago and got about half way through and now I picked it up and finished it. Two years ago, I found the book very frustrating because it seemed like a very long list of things I wasn't doing. Now that I read one of the last chapters that talked about the purpose of traditions (to pass on family values) and how to develop the right ones for a particular family, the first part of the book (suggestions for traditions) makes a lot more sense.

In the beginning, I didn't think I was going to get a lot of out this book. But as I read further, I found more and more little nuggets that I would like to keep in my reserves for later when the boys are older. This is one of my "family tradition" books to keep on the shelf.

I liked this book. Although it was a bit out dated, I was able to find some useful tips.
