This is a book that was on my homeschool bookshelf and I am not sure when or why I bought it (second hand), but I pulled it out and read it through. It gives ideas for boxes of props for kids play, probably for preschool/kindergarten/ young elementary ages. The idea boxes are themed. Themes include things like space, under the sea, restaurant, optometrist, dentist, farm etc boxes. For each box theme, there's a list of things to collect for the kids to play with as well as a list of extension activities (field trips, movies or books to go with it etc; the wedding one for example suggested baking a "wedding" cake for snack time). I felt like some of the activities and lists were no brainers and some were really good ideas. Kind of a mix. I was hoping that the lists would include stuff from around the house and it's a bit of a mixed bag in that sense; I feel like I would have to round up and shop or substitute for a lot of the boxes. Anyway I give it 3 stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
