If anything I think a parent should read it to help support their own can-do attitude about themselves and their daughters. Uplifting? Yes. Helpful? Sure. Gonna get my daughter to read it? Less than likely.

I've had this book for several years and although I don't read it frequently, it's a book I go back to again and again. If you're a teen (or young adult) girl, than this is an awesome book to have on your bookshelf!
