This unique book brings together information for creating a beautiful, soulful, and spirited home. Nicole Marcelis offers advice on such popular spiritual techniques as feng shui, color therapy, aromatherepy, space clearing, and symbolism. Her guidelines provide practical ways to combine these elements in order to create a home environment infused with intent. These combinations--or "templates"--reflect what readers most desire in their lives, whether it be romance, prosperity, intuition, or balance.
This book was a unique combination of culturally colonialist (sample phrases include "to add a Native American flavor") and bossy, with a strong dose of every new agey fetish weighing down the whole thing (says the massage therapist). I think that the basic premise of the book, that you can learn ways to make your home feel more serene and warm and safe, and that this can benefit your life, is a good one, but I wish it hadn't gotten so buried under so much junk.
