My Spiritual Exercises: Journey Impressions

Rate this book
Robert Killoren uses the pathway of the Ignatian Spiritual Exercises to explore the interior life, the life of the spirit. His poems are more like impressions that are left on the eye as it flits from scene to scene. They are brief moments of insight that seem to be within grasp and then elusively escape. Killoren uses words as an Impressionist uses paints. Focus on the images that touch the heart without passing through the conscious, analytical mind. Experience them in contemplation for they arise from prayer. "The beauty of language makes one feel as though they were reading the Psalms." (Liberian Poet Patricia Jabbeh Wesley) "An excellent collection and very highly recommended reading." (Midwest Book Review)
