This update of a quilting classic shares bestselling author Joan Hanson's proven step-by-step process for turning a stack of blocks into a lively quilt. Includes over 80 inspiring settings, plus new information on designing quilts with computers. Offers solutions to common design dilemmas, such as how to arrange different-sized blocks, work with odd numbers of blocks, and plan diagonal settings. Joan's clever formula for calculating fabric needs means no dizzying math to do.
ONE of my go to books for setting a quilt when I am designing my own quilt. Great source for non standard innovative settings. Great for exchange blocks that are of different size.
Be aware this is an older ( 1993, 2003) book so some of the setting might seem dated to you. BUT I look to this book for ideas.... especially when I was working with the charity quilts.
