I don't know what to say about this one... Tamika is in a relationship with Q or Quincy. Like all relationships, theirs start out great until he's gone more often. Q isn't faithful but they stay together until they don't. Then Tamika finds out she's pregnant & of course, they wanna make it work so things are going great til Tamika finds out he's MARRIED!! Has been the WHOLE 4-year RELATIONSHIP!! Then things go from bad to worse.

okay

I didn’t get why Tamika stayed in all the drama with Quincy and the Rachelle came begging Tamika to leave him alone and told Tamika that Quincy was a dog either woman they were to weak for this man and lost the battle to walk away for good, it was tragic.

This novella is the story of Tamika Adams, a young, vibrant woman who is in a lust/love relationship with Quincy Thompson, a two-timing man-whore who loves to string women along. She ignores all of the red flags, in hopes that he will change his ways, but his lies and deceit will suddenly come crashing on them all.

As one of @blue_unicorns_r_magic earlier works, I felt that it could have been developed a little more, and although I loved the story, I gave it 💎💎💎.

ALMOST ON "SNAPPED"

Tamika Adams is a successful woman who has just about all a woman could want in life - except love. After unexpectedly meeting Quincy Thompson, she falls head over heels in love and finally gets the happily ever after she always wanted. After obtaining the happiness that she previously had no luck with, everything in her world begins to fall apart at the hands of this same man. She is forced to confront the one person she never thought would hurt her so deeply when secrets that she never saw coming are released. The instability of their relationship threatens to drive Tamika to an emotional breaking point, but she must pull it all together and consider her own future. Can she and Quincy weather their storm or will deceit prove to be too strong for them to survive?

Allison Edwards' Broken Promises Never Mend is a title that takes you through all of the raw emotion that is experienced by someone who is in a love/hate relationship. I could understand how Tamika's character would in certain instances want to maintain her relationship with Qunicy, while at other points, want to forget that she ever met him. The situations depicted were realistic and extremely relatable. The author left me wanting more as I ended this title. I will definitely read the sequel to this book and would recommend it to others.

Tamika hooked up with Quincy pretty quick in the beginning of this book. He was a total stranger and he brought her home. He "conveniently" left his coat in her house and had to come back to get it. Meanwhile she is upstairs pleasuring herself in her bathtub. He can hear everything, but she doesn't know that he is standing outside her door until she hears him knocking. She lets him in.

I bent over and picked up his jacket from the back of my living room chair. I didn't get far up before I felt his massive erection poking my ass. Quincy leaned over as I gasped at the feeling of a man this close to me. p. 29

Tamika and Quincy start seeing each other after that. Tamika's friend saw Quincy with another woman, but she didn't want to believe it. Then she started getting weird deliveries, people showing up at her door, then there was the keychain.

I read this book and one sitting and really enjoyed it. I look forward to the sequel!

Broken promises indeed. Tamika (the main character) falls hard for a no good Quincy in this love story gone wrong. She is the type of woman any good man would want, she has her head on her shoulders, works hard, she's single, honest and a trustworthy friend. Unfortunately more times then often these type of women always get the shitty end of the stick when comes to men.

Quincy has done everything imaginable to break Tamika's heart and she continues to take him back. Can you say "LOVE SICK" At one point I wanted to kick Quincy ass because I had had enough. He seems to be as lost as the rest of them and needs some serious therapy. I won't go into details for the sake of spoilers but let's just say Tamika could've done better.

This was a good story, sometimes the transition from one scene to the next wasn't as smooth but it had the drama and entertainment that will have you wondering what happens next in Bound By Lies the sequel to the book. I can only imagine the drama that ensues in part II.

You can't tell people how to love you - people are going to love you the way they know how to love but you can choose how you participate in it.

Tamika Adams has everything when it comes to her professional life but soon she finds out she has alot to learn when it comes to love. When she meets Quincy Thompson she is swept off her feet and immediately believes its happily ever after, but soon deep secrets and lies began to surface.

Side Note: I didn't know who to strangle first - Tamika for dealing with Quincy, or Quincy for being such a D.O.G. - their "love story" had me going through some ups and downs, but I couldnt put this book down.. Excellent Job Allison

Quincy is the typical player, women all over town, and all of the right words to convince each one that they are number one. As Tamika struggles to let go of him, she continuously finds herself drawn back into his world of lies and deception. Neither an engagement or a baby was enough to secure her place as the single lady in his life, and the story gets more wild as she starts to receive gifts...packages that aren't from him or anyone else she knows.

There were a couple of times when I found myself wondering who was speaking and some times that the story seemed to jump around. Other than that, this is a great read that flows well. I look forward to finding out what happens next.

Great love story for those who love Romance! A story about love that draws in the reader of “What’s next?” The author does a great job in pulling the reader into the story as if they are living through the book as it’s written. We met a character with a broken heart; looking for nothing but love. The book has a shocking ending and is a must read! Classic love story with a twisting end. A great book to pick up and read straight through to the end! Great job!

Really....

This is the kind of book that females can relate too. Even through we pretend that we don't go through this type of drama. But in all reality females lives this situation everyday. I just don't know if i would scarify my child for a man...

Short read. It's really a thin line between love and hate. Mika and Q are something else.
