Strange.

This is a peculiar novel where the lines between reality and the rest is blurred greatly. I skimmed through the parts where there was too much theory. I believe the author was fascinated by something but I also feel like he failed in conveying that excitement.

There are may parts that are meant to be thought provoking. The story talks a lot about architecture that makes life terribly predictable and guarantees security. The book assumes that leaving things up to chance is not okay. Since I disagree with this basic presumption, the book was a tough read to finish.

Not recommendable.

J.G. Ballard lite. I'd have liked it more if it was longer and dug a bit deeper. Explores notions around social disasters and building to survive them.
