We see the movies by John Singleton (ie: Boyz in the Hood, Higher Learning, etc) but never have we actually taken a look at the issues from the inside out. Kevon Gulley does just that with a gritty tale that is more than life on the streets of Compton, California and less fantasy. Combining a story of love, loyalty, lies and life he definitely allows people to see the consequences and errors of ones ways. An excellent job that reveals so much about the author. Everyone looks at a person and one can never see what they went through. You should never judge for what a person goes through makes them either better or worse. Kudos and thank you Kevon for sharing your story. In "urban literature", many fabricate what you have actually lived.
