3.5 stars. Very interesting book, very well researched. I have learned an awful lot not only about Hildegard, but also about politics and christianity in the 12th century - in just over 200 pages! It also explains a lot about how a myth was created back then and in current times, without being disrepsectful to the amazing Hildegard at all. The book is very readable, except sometimes for the longer Hildegard quotes. Man, she could go on and on, and German being my third language it would slow down my reading speed so I finished this later than expected. As this is not the writers fault, but rather Hildegards (tee-hee) or most likely my own, I will upgrade this to 4 stars.
