A self-confessed leg and foot man, Batters spent a lifetime photographing ladies legs from the tip of the toes to the top of the hose.
His photographs were much admired and he started his own magazines, most notably (and unsurprisingly) 'Black Silk Stockings', 'Sheer Delight', 'Leg-O-Rama'. 'Nylon Double Take', 'Tip Top', 'Thigh High' and 'Leg Art'.
This selection of his work shows how talented he was in his field.
