4.5,
This was suchhhhhh a talented cast. i was Mrs. Banks (winifred) in the jr verison. It was my first bigger roll and such a great and important experience. Although this show is very different from the movie, i still enjoyed it very much. The music is very catchy and was a great entertaining show to preform. Hated my costume but that's just bc it was unflattering on me not bc it was ugly. Super fun staging as well and was my first community theater experience. It was a summer show meaning it was done in two weeks, with rehearsal everyday except sunday from 9 to 3. I also had SAIL which is an orchestra camp right after rehearsal and i hated it. So i wonder if my experience would have been different if i did not have that.

Currently in this musical.
The musical is quite different from the Julie Andrews/Dick van Dyke movie we're all so familiar with. If one were to just read through the script, I'm not sure it's the best story. However, acted out and with the addition of songs, it's not terrible. There are interesting subplots, my favorite being the relationship between George and Winifred Banks.

A fun show to be in, but necessarily the greatest script I've ever read. There were some random lines and scenes that didn't make much sense and were unnecessary to the plot. Other than those few things, it was still really fun to be a part of this production!
