The towns selected for this little book are a good choice but the overall work is lightweight. The book would have benefited from someone proofreading it. As a result, Clay Allison becomes, Charles, the movie "Mrs. Miniver" becomes "Mrs Minerva" and the border between New Mexico and Arizona gets placed in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, among many other incongruences. Throughout the chapters reference is made to places or events that haven't been previously introduced nor are they explained.
Ah well, I should have known when picking up the book about New Mexico with a Saguaro pictured on the cover. That's worse than the Saguaro T-shirts sold in Taos tourist traps which are obviously made in china.
