This book starts off strong, teaching programming concepts, then goes off into planning a project and distribution. If the reader has picked up this book for basic programming - a true beginner - how are they going to need to know how to release a commercial program if they don't have programming itself mastered? There was one chapter of JavaScript, a brief chapter on VBScript, and a couple of chapters on C++, which called for the use of an installer by Borland that you have to search the Web for as the original site no longer has it.

الكتاب بشكل عام جيد لكل مبتدأ يريد أن يعرف ما هي البرمجة، وهو مبسط بشكل كبير جدا، لدرجة أنه في بعض الأجزاء يحشو الكتاب بمعلومات بسيطة جدا ولا يحتاج إليها، ومن الممكن بكل سهولة حذفها ولا تؤثر أبدا على المادة المشروحة.
الكتاب كذلك يركز على بيئة الويندوز، وبه معلومات قديمة فهو عمره 7 سنوات، صدرت إصدارات كثيرة من بعض البرامج التي يذكرها جديدة.
لو طور هذا الكتاب وإضيف إليه وحذف منه بعض الأشياء سيصبح جيد جدا.
