Listening for God through Philippians

Lectio Divina, Latin for divine reading, is a series of Bible studies that calls Christians to slow down, read Scripture, meditate on it, and prayerfully respond as they "listen to God" through His Word. The book of Philippians is filled with statements of rejoicing, prayerful thanksgiving, loving compassion, and gentle exhortation. While many threads run through this four-chapter book, a dominant theme is that Jesus Christ and living the way He directs have a direct impact on everyday life.
