This book was based on Thomas Malory's La Morte Darthur and has an excellent introduction (as brief as it is) into the historical Arthurian Legends.

The text is simple and easy to understand for those who are not familiar with medieval English.

I'm working my way through my bookshelves, trying to clear some of my TBR pile, and to make room for new books. This is a junior book that I bought back when I was teaching, so it was a very quick read. It is also quite basic, and only touches on the surface of the Arthurian legends. Still, as an introduction for children, it serves its purpose. It must also be remembered that the first edition of this title dates back to 1955. These days, children are more likely to get their first experience of the tales via 'The Sword in the Stone'.

I think this book can be really useful to kids who want to learn something about King Arthur, because it is very easy to understand.
I was a little bored, but I think this was predictable since I'm way to old for these books.
