I read this book a number of years ago and have since loaned it out to family members.
What's so remarkable is the way that Griffin describes his life and carney friends while traveling and learning to perform in the side show. The performers become incredibly life like in dimension and breadth; I would recommend this book to anyone interested in the circus or general character studies.
