Kikky Sihota is probably a very nice person. Her English is imperfect. Her illustrations hard to follow. Her ideas of what to carve from fruits and vegetables are kitschy, cutesy, and stuck somewhere in the 1950s. One's culinary library would not be incomplete without this book. Better you should read Sallie Y. Williams, The Art of Presenting Food, New York: HarperCollins, 1982, or perhaps Mickey Baskett, Gourmet Garnishes: Creative ways to dress up your food, New York: Sterling Publishing, 2006; or Christa Schmedes, The Book of Garnishing, Karen Green, Trans., Godalming, Surry: CLB Publishing, 1995; or Amy Texido, Marianne Muller, Eril Pratsch & Hubert Krieg, Glorious Garnishes: Crafting easy & spectacular food decorations, New York: Sterling/Lark, 1992.
