Inevitably, books about dreams and the interpretation of dream images can sound stuffy and condescending quite quickly, as though the writer knows everything there is to know about the absolute meaning of everybody's dreams. I liked Tony Crisp's book because he is so clear about the necessity of discerning for oneself, and examining one's own associations to the various images, even though he offers interesting and insightful comment into the traditional interpretation of a large number of images.
Of all of the 'dream interpretation' books I've read, this one has been the most helpful to me in understanding and interpreting my own dreams.
