About the author

I live in beautiful Cumbria with my husband, 2 teenage daughters, cat, dog and rabbit. The cat and dog have both featured in my children's books, so maybe it's the rabbit's turn next!

My writing has been long listed in 2 major international competitions: The Times/Chicken House children's fiction competition and the Mslexia Novel competition.

I am fascinated by what drives human behaviour and how one action can unleash an avalanche of unintended consequences and I explore this in each novel, in an age-appropriate way of course!

I write for both children and adults and I am publishing 3 books in 2022:
King Worm Jack for age 7+
Mr. Nobody (2nd edition) for 9+
Scratch: a suspense thriller for adults

I'm currently working on something different: a story of love and loneliness starting in WW2 and covering 2 generations. It's inspired by a box of love letters from WW2 which I inherited
