This book is a compilation of works by various professors of German history. I read the book as an accompaniment to an OLLI (Osher Lifelong Learning Institute) course. The book provided a good background to the class. Be aware that each author assumes that you have some knowledge of German history; I referred to the internet quite a bit while reading.
Read for Olli study group or most chapters written by various scholars some more readable than others she was experimental Germany great Bradley facilitator!!
