Everything you ever wanted to know about feeding your chickens (and more). The first sentence explains it all:
"The existence of problems in poultry feeding cannot be denied." The book spends 630 pages trying to give a comprehensive review of all the scientific and less scientific information out there. It gives a very good review of the sources where the info comes from. Excellent reader for those who are interested in enriching their lives with chickens.

A great book on poultry feeds for someone interested in formulating their own feed(s). The information that was presented was balenced for the small time poultry farmer or large backyard keeper interested in poultry ration formulatiom. It definetly filled in the gaps from other books that I have read that were skewed in favor of large industrial poultry operations.
