Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx, NY. Atlas of introductory anatomy for students. Presents multiple views of complex anatomical structures emphasizing visible landmarks. Notable detailed color illustrations. Anatomy atlases.
I'm not a med student but I find the human body and the way it works to be extraordinary, and what better way to learn more about it then with a book such as this. Large and thick, full of photos and detailed sketches it's richer and more visual than Gray's Anatomy and quite frankly I'd rather sit down and read this than watch an hour of tv. For anyone out there who's an artist and loves to sketch - that is actually my hobby - this gives you a good sense of what's under that skin and why the body looks the way it dose. Great for studying figures and muscle work, this book is not only entertaining but educational on every level I can imagine.
I am thrilled to have this in my collection, on my shelf it's next to other anatomy guides and my art books and I read it often. It's also nice to learn new facts, names and actually know what's inside of you. Many people have no idea what their insides are composed of and I find it fascinating, there's no better way to learn it at home than with this.
