It actually deserves a 3.5. Out of the 28 essays/chapter, there were about 6 that were excellent. Seriously, worth the cost of the book and investment of time. There were probably another 15 or 16 essays that were worthwhile. And then possibly 5 or 6 that were simply not in the same league academically, biblically or exegetically. One of those was simply dire.

There is more than enough that is good about the book to merit the investment of time. And so I recommend it with 3.5 stars.

This book is an asset for anyone who strives for biblical contextualization. The book of Acts is full of helpful examples

Really enjoyed this book! Written from a variety of contexts, illuminating different aspects of God's mission in Acts and applying these to contemporary global contexts.
