Unlike your typical popular student or jock, Jonathan Libonsky (Jny) spent his time reading and dreaming big. As he never quite fit in with the other kids his age, Jny could never shake the sinking feeling that he was different from his peers. In other words, he knew that somehow he was “special” compared to everyone else. Now, we’re not talking about your typical Harry Potter, hero-like chosen one. In fact, it was the exact opposite. Rather, Jny was the nerdy, clumsy kid, always getting the short end of the stick. The story begins on a typical crisp, beautiful October morning. Everything seemed to be going well for Jny as he arrived at school, eagerly pulling out a book that he had recently bought. Therefore, he was surprised to discover that the book lacked any writing whatsoever. It was a very old, brown, and leather-bound book, sporting slightly ripped yellowed pages that were completely blank. As he pondered what could possibly be the purpose of this book, something writing unexpectedly appeared on the hitherto blank page of the book. Unable to resist the intrigue of this magical book, Jny “You’ll find the answer to your question in the haunted forest, but if you go there, the number of secrets will just grow”. Although the eerie message was extremely vague and only promised to increase his curiosity, Jny immediately set off into the haunted forest. This stroke of bravery would prove to kickstart a long, incredible journey for Jny.
Jny acts fast, gathering his friends to help him along the journey. They complete many tasks along the way, from deciphering messages of famous paintings to nights filled with exquisite adventures, all while under the secret watch of another searching for the powerful book.
