Rissa Belgrande’s always known there was something different about her. Something that made her a damned good detective. Now she’s learning why. And it’s a doozy of a notion to wrap her head around the reasons behind her unique, not to mention strange, skills. Maze Turner is second in command of Skull Point security. He’s not meant to be a detective. Suddenly, he finds himself as an unofficial partner to a hot New Orleans detective. He’d quit, except that this mission could clear his friend Quick Alvarez. And the fact that he kinda likes this detective. A little. Maybe. Okay, maybe more than a little.
The story is still good. It can be read as a stand alone although relationships from the last book arexatill developed/developing. We find out a bit more about Ricardo. And he's still at large when the story ends.
