A novelist, screenwriter and former teacher, Andrew Mackay is the creator of groundbreaking sci-fi series STAR CAT.
His influences include John Cleese, Tom Sharpe, Kurt Vonnegut, James Patterson, Hunter S Thompson, Douglas Adams, Imogen Edwards-Jones, Michael Frayn, Chris Morris, Christopher Hitchins, Bill Maher, George Carlin, and Larry Cohen.
The basis of the story is good, it's the storytelling I can't get over. The use of text sound effects quickly becomes annoying then becomes absolutely absurd. A number of the death are over the top ridiculous such as a man's body com8ng completely apart and being decapitated when hit by a van and people still talking after their organs have been "liquified", just two of many scenarios which could never happen, not even in the future as this books setting is. I much prefer an author do research and make those kind of scenes believable than have them simply go for over the top shock and gore factor.
If you love science fiction, horror, thriller, sick humor with a touch of romance here and there, well this trilogy is for you. It’s full of violence, cuss words, tons of blood and gore and it all runs together perfectly. The storyline comes from an author with a warped mind and a sick sense of humor, which without it, this trilogy would be boring and not worth reading. Reading with an open mind and realize that it’s supposed to be strange or different from anything you have ever read, but trust me, it’s worth every cuss word, gore and unforeseen violence. Read this and you will definitely forget about the world pandemic. I highly recommend this Trilogy to every adult out there!
