First of all, thank you Varun for this free copy of the third book of the series.
It is a pleasure for me to read the new adventures of Taj.
An asteroid is going to hit Earth and Time Demons can help, so Taj and his daughter Pri are working together.
You can feel the action from the first page, as usual.

The action packed ending

A great conclusion to the Time Crawlers. I have been following this series before it was a series. A good old short stories. For a continuity lover like me I was very happy to see elements and characters from this early work resurface here as well as the developments from the previous books.

Varun has a great gift for blending science fiction and mythology. The science and paranormal. I also enjoyed that this was highlighted in this book.

I was glad to see Taj either dispite or because of his origin set himself up as humanities greatest hero saving the world a number of times. Now he is needed again, but in the last book he was forced to make the final sacrifice. Can is time displaced daughter bring him back? I really like that both father and daughter have enhanced abilities beyond the normal Time Crawlers.

Though this us the last book in thus trilogy I think thing there is a lot more to explore for all these characters. I like to see what they could get up to I their present, ancient past or far future.

Artificial intelligence,an asteroid on a collision course with Earth, beings able to sift through time, a race to save humanity, good versus evil in a battle that may end in the next apocalypse, welcome to Varun Sayal’s DOOMSDAY OF TAMAS. Prepare to witness what could be the final battle as enemies become allies and untapped talents stand against the almighty power of tech unleashed.

Varun Sayal’s science fiction/thriller series is a wildly creative journey across time that is as brilliantly executed as it is spellbinding. Detailed scenes come to life, well-crafted characters and a non-stop, page after page tale that invites readers to believe this is more than fantasy!

I received a complimentary ARC edition from Varun Sayal! This is my honest and voluntary review.

*I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an HONEST review*

I don't even know where to begin! Varun has done it again! I went back and forth between reading it again and writing this review--let's just say the review could've been done last week.

The story line is unique, the characters compelling, and the overall ending to the series is perfection. I loved the time travel aspect, going back and forth between different points in time makes the story even more dynamic. This definitely heavy in science/technology, adding yet another of detail. The setting is vivid without being too much. There is a perfect balance of bringing the world to live without over explanations or being boring.

If you have read Varun's other books, don't hesitate to pick this one up. If you haven't read any of them yet, don't waste any more time!

Doomsday of Tamas is a science fiction story. It's a very agonizing and interesting read. It has a lot of action scenes and some plot twists. The main characters, Tej and Pri, are well-written and it's very easy to like them.
It's a fascinating and adventurous novel that it involves time traveling. If you like this kind of stories, you'll surely like this one. It was an enjoyable read for me.

There are 3 USPs of the time traveller’s series- the amalgamation of science with ancient culture, the simplicity of the written word and the villains- each more brutal and ingenuous than the other. This is one such series where readers can’t help but be impressed with the villians. In comparision with the previous books, the third book is miles ahead in terms of action and creativity but not so much as a story. This is a book that focuses on the incidents rather than characters. It’s loaded with scientific concepts and analogies mixed with ancient rituals and weapons. If one stops to question the how of the workings of the story, the book becomes a strain on the mind but when one goes with the flow, it is mind blowing. Reading Doomsday of Tamas requires a huge amount of concentration to keep up with the constant time travel incidents. The narration is simple which is the best part. It takes sheer talent to ensure the vivid descriptions and the most complicated of topics are put forth using very few words.
Doomsday of Tamas can’t be read without reading the other books of the series. Though it appears like a standalone novel, it isn’t. Owing to the simplicity of narration the books can be read by young adults as well as adults. Time and again the dark side of technology has been explored in literature, yet the developments continue unabated. This book will surely give you the chills. And for the sake of repetition, let me say this- the combination of ancient wisdom, weaponry, and rituals with scientific explanation is the best part of the book. Being an Indian, I feel proud reading it. The concepts if explored more hold the capacity to change the face of Indian sci-fi.

I have often shared my feelings that being a book lover opens many horizons to you. It helps you connect with some fantastic authors living around. So, when a long ago, when I got a chance to read a short story collection by Varun Sayal, I concluded that he is going to give us many books.

Writing science-fictions that are a well-balanced mix of "Science"and "Fiction" both, and that is a rare feat to achieve. And I am glad to tell that, "Time Travelers" is one such book series.

Doomsday of Tamas: Race to the Second Apocalypse - is the last instalment of this book trilogy. This is actually the fourth book in the series (as it has a short prequel too). Being the last book in the series it was expected to conclude the story in a really convincing manner.

The Plot:
The majority of the incidents of the book are set up in the future. The science and technology have achieved remarkable feat by then. In those days people used to have lenses on their eyes that are receiving various feeds in real time. "Being connected" to the things that matters to you and happening around was easier.

The technology itself is really a good thing, but it can be used to do bad or say worst things.

We found a lady getting kidnapped from a place full of people and chaos in Kolkata in broad daylight and people couldn't do anything but watch it and stream it!

The city known to be IT-hub of India is also witnessing a strange attack on the civilizaiton where super-power(!) infused recruits of the security forces fights back.

But, these all are comparatively small games. Tamas - the unknown, unseen yet omnipresent villain is planning some really big things. So will Tej, Rigasur and others be able to fight back? Or the power of Tamas is really "too much" for tough to handle for even their combined strength?

Views And Reviews:
When you write something really interesting and gripping, writing a sequel becomes even more challenging. Because, when you wrote the first book, there was no burden or pressure of expectations on you. But for all the future instalments in the series, the task become tougher for you, as you need to deliver (if not better then) at least of the level of the previous book.

This book - which elaborates more of AI world than of the mythology - passes the challenge with flying marks.

The author has done enough research work and he himself is a tech person working in IT industry, so he is able to elaborate the AI world quite convincingly. This book is a good mix of stuff from Indian mythology and modern world stuff from western countries. The characters in the book belongs to various casts, creeds and religions. And, their names suggest you that in future mixed races will be there where inter-community and inter-country marital unions will be common. The author has high regard for Indian mythology and its richness. You can find it reflected even in the name of the characters, places and incidents.

Strong characters and good story are the positive aspects of the book. The good thing is, all the characters are multi-layered. They have their strengths and weaknesses. They are not black and white but have shades of grey. The antagonist is of course the black, but it is intelligent and strategist.

The use of phrases like "matter of planetary importance" (instead of "matter of national security" etc) shows about the kind of collaboration all the countries need when the dark time appears.

The young readers will definitely enjoy exploring the scenes where the fight is going on in "gaming" arena. With the rise of trending in online multi-player games and its popularity, these VR games looks not only appealing, but even possible.

It is the longest (and costliest :) ) book in the series.
PS: You can read it for free (as of now) if you are Amazon's Kindle Unlimited subscriber.

Summary:
If you love exploring “Sci-Fi thrillers”, it is definitely a worthy choice. And, if you have read previous books in the series, you will love exploring this one too.

Tej is missing and his daughter is seeking him in time jump functions. After defeating Nife in the previous book, Tej disappears leaving his friend Rigasur behind. Rigasur, himself an ancient demon, makes a vow to discover what happened to Tej and why he cannot find a trace. Pri, daughter of Tej, born long ago before her father learned of his time jumping abilities, wants to meet him and once again be a family. At the time of Pri being left with gifted mentors to discover her own talents, Pri also enters the world time where she becomes an member of specially enhanced soldiers to handle unusual events with their special abilities. All Pri needs is a safe place to lie down undisturbed, leaves her time and body, and enters another time to accomplish the goal she has been given. Venkat, her leader has used her and Nancy, another enhanced soldier with powerful muscular abilities to work in similar situations where average humans could not succeed. The world has been invaded by a complex villain, Tamas, an AI with massive destructive abilities intent on removing life from the planet. Fighting Tamas will be difficult since his intelligence is spread among millions of pieces of binary codes in multiple places but not in one central area. This is the problem Man must face. Rigasur joins Pri in searching for her father and finding if he is still present somewhere in time, did he evolve again after he disappeared, can he help them defeat Tamas. The idea of a vastly expansive network intelligence hidden without being corrupted by outside attack is a scary one. Tamas is determined to be God. The final solution is very limited by time which must be held in place long enough to defeat Tamas. Very good addition to the series with subtle warnings of using artificial intelligence and becoming sentient. Reader must read the series in order to understand the development of Tej, Rigasur, and Pri, their individual guidance under powerful teachers to open their abilities and sense of morality. The idea of time jumping must be carefully calculated to avoid complications in the future yet give access to the needed time frame. This was a free book to read and review. I enjoyed the use of Indian mythology, teaching and setting to flavor the story. The author has captured quite and intellectual example of the future and present scientific playground. Very good read.

Tej is in a race to save the world from the apocalypse the AI, known only as Tamas is planning for it but can he do this? He is joined in his fight by his now ally, Rigasur and his long-lost daughter Pri who is also a time-demon with her own special set of powers. Tej is overjoyed to meet his daughter who he had thought was lost in time to him forever, however she is cold towards him and aloof. Tamas is planning on an asteroid to collide with Earth and blow the planet to bits but Tej had promised Rudrakshini, the necromancer who had helped him defeat Nefe, that he would save the world. Can he keep his promise? The final book in this very captivating series is by far the best in my opinion, it is a nail biting, edge of the seat battle between an AI which had been a human creation but which had grown in intelligence more than any human and who was always not one step ahead of the military and the scientists and time-demons but many steps ahead. Tamas always knew what they were planning and the experts were dying off like flies but Tej, Pri and Rigasur travelled back and forth across the ages in order to bring Tamas down before the apocalypse hit Earth. This book gives us the grand finale we deserved in this amazingly intricate and captivating series! Well done Varun Sayal for a such a well researched series.

First of all thanks to Mr. Varun Sayal for providing me with the soft copy of the exciting story of Action between Time crawlers and a very very intelligent AI. Time crawlers are the same character as previous books Tej and Rigasur while Pri Tej's daughter joins the league in fight with the worlds most intelligent as well as dangerous AI Tamas. The story starts in 2070 and ends in 2070 but the time crawlers go back to AD's and BC's. Author has done a through study as he has provided emotion, action, drama and suspense. Emotion of daughter searching for father and after they meet behaving like strangers. Action of Tamas annihilating people who are plotting against him. Drama of Rigasur playing a bad and good guy. Suspense of how to end Tamas. Reading the 21st Chapter Pri made me think of a movie Groundhog day. Where th story runs in a loop to improvise the plan. This book is a fight between the modern technology vs Human. Really liked the book, characters and the story. Overall I would say its really a very good Goodread... :)

Thanks Varun for this amazing series and along this copy available for free.

Review:
The best part of the stories in this series was showing different types of villains in each part. The Villians were given a strong personality to beat time crawlers at every turn. That's what make this series better.

Stronger the Evil, The Hero will emerges out even stronger in the end.

The only minus point I will say that you have to finish this series early. If you take time between each part then you have hard time to remeber each and every character.

Let's not dwell in to the negativity. I strongly recommend this series to all Sci fi readers. It's a must read. Good Concept and very well written.

P.S Varun Sayal, I am waiting for new series which you told me earlier.

The third book in the series of Time Traveller's. This begins with the abduction of a single mother from a crowded market by three drones.
In the different parts of the world people were getting killed.

Tej the protagonist of the story is no where to be found and on Earth an A.I is creating a hell lot of problems for security, defence and in the lives of people.

After a big incident Tej is back on Earth and now has another challenge to save the Earth from an A.I and an asteroid which is about to collide with Earth and wipe out everything.

This is another sci-fi rollercoaster story with lots of actions, scientific knowledge and amazing plot twists.

There were a lot of incidents which were surprising(in a good way).
It felt really good when you lose all hopes and then there comes a surprising bomb that shook you and you get back in the story once again.

This was fun to read.

I am not a big fan of science fiction stories but once I started reading this series I couldn't put it down. The writer's gripping writing style kept me hooked till the end. All characters are well built. Story doesn't loses its charm till the end. It was a pleasure to read this book. It took me out of my reader's block. If you are also looking for a fun and suspenseful read then do give it at a try. I am sure you won't regret it.

From the very first page, the world seemed so vivid in my imagination. I love it when authors can paint the world with only a handful of sentences.

The protagonist is well established in the story. What she likes and dislikes, her intimate details make her a wholesome character in the story. She takes her time to place in the story, which makes her more valuable, more likeable as a character. I wish other authors would understand this, too. Taking time to build up is very important.

I’ve read many books by Varun and by far, this has got to be my favourite one. I missed the part that came before this instalment so I was a little confused but I still found it enjoyable. Of course, I’m going to pick up Devourers From Suryaksh and come back to this one again.

The world is so well constructed, it’s hard to blow past any detail. The Time Travelers series is taking a whole other turn and bringing so much to the Sci-Fi genre. Loved this book so much!

Thanks Varun for my Advance Copy! I just can’t get enough of your books.

Thank you Varun for this free copy of the third book of the series.

Hi, it’s me, Alessia and today I’d like to tell you something about the third book id this scifi series that has accompanied me for some years.

Tej can’t be found and A.I. is planning something for destroy human race. Oh, an asteroid is falling on Earth who could save it?

Tej have to do an ally wit Rigasur and his lost daughter Pri, who is also a time-demon with special power. Like a chess game, they have to anticipate and overcome every move of AI.

When despair and hope seem to take over, a spark will make its way into the hearts of our protagonists.

Varun’s books are always full of action, mental possession and fight until the last second. Again, we can find a wide use of technology and technological terms (I am now learning about them compared to the first book).
Detailed explanations and a story without plot holes. Plot twists appear suddenly and modify the outcome of events. His writing style doesn’t leave the reader bored and keeps it glued to the pages.

Book 08/75: Doomsday of Tamas: Race to the Second Apocalypse (Time Travelers Book 3) by Varun Sayal. The exciting conclusion to the Time Travelers series! Once more, Varun reached out so that I may give an honest review to an advanced readers copy of his latest novel. It was a pleasure to read into the world that is the time demons. Like the others, this one was also filled with adventure, drama, schemes, robots and time travel. As soon as I got enough into the story to remember the past books, I dove right in and finished the book in a matter of days. Thank you Varun for another great read! These time crawlers go through a lot of close calls for our heroes and crazy twists and turns along the way, I hope they can take a needed break from saving the world and go on vacation finally! Hell, we all need a vacation these days.

It's the last book in the time traveller series. I have enjoyed the previous two books and this one too is at par. A few new characters were brought forward this time, which made the story interesting; on one hand, nobody can find Tej and on the other hand, an AI is on its way to destroy the world. After a while, Tej comes backs to earth and this time he has become more powerful and knows how to control his powers efficiently. The characters are well built, and I loved how Tej's character has grown until now. The story building is too good as it keeps you hooked and you wouldn't want to put it down until you reach the end.

The time-travelling experience is quite amazing and looks seamless. Generally, I don't read mythology but in it, there is a perfect blend of sci-fi and mythology which makes it more fascinating. This book can be read in one go, and people who love sci-fi and want to explore something new and exciting should go for it.
