Yuugo Sayama is twenty years old, jobless, and broke. But when the angel Hamniel appears and offers to help him find work, Yuugo eagerly turns her down! After all, he lives at the so-called Reject Residences, where rent is cheap and the tenants are all human failures just like him! Can a little divine intervention turn Yuugo’s life around, or is Hamniel in over her halo...?
pacing wasn’t great and i wish the other characters were either not yet introduced or at least given a proper introduction. seems like a cute little series even if i got a bit confused about who some of the characters were or what was going on since the story jumped with little to no warning.
i was thoroughly humored with the whole getting stuck in the portal bc of Hamniel’s love handles so that’s a plus! will probably grab the second volume when i can because i feel like this story has potential :)
Sorry but Yuugo is just an asshole. And the gig that she was bad at everything got too much. Not to mention that poor girl's wing was constantly used for grilling. WTF. Also some confusing moments. But the art is nice. I like seeing the other residents. I love the beach. Her getting stuck makes me giggle. The fact she just goes out wearing that and never anything else made me laugh.
Excellent Property, Rejects for Residents volume 1 left me confused with how I felt about it. The main character is jobless and living at a place with super cheap rent. He spends his days fishing for food and taking the neighbor's kid to and from school. An angel shows up offering to help him turn his life around, and he refuses. He enjoys the carefree life he has despite not always having enough to eat or knowing where rent money will come from. I like the anti-capitalist mentality of the character. There are genuinely touching moments, but other events felt confusing or out of place. I don't particularly like the angel. I think this could develop into something more, but for now I am feeling somewhat indifferent to it as a whole.
