The Fate of Eleven Universes Rest in the Hands of a Hapless Trucker who Can’t Read a Map…
Eleventh World is widely considered the largest waste of magic and technology ever perpetrated by a governing body.
We call it Earth.
Humanity?
We’re a bad joke told only in posh backrooms by the raunchiest politicians.
Even so, when villainous forces threaten to destroy our universe, the beings profiting off Eleventh World take notice. They summon their best cybernetic dwarf problem solver to find the bomb and save the day.
Unfortunately for us, the villain insists Crossways Transportation’s very worst, Sam Bridger, deliver the ransom. Can the best triumph before our worst dooms us?
Michael J. Allen is a USA Today bestselling author of multi-layer science fiction and fantasy novels. Born in Oregon and an avid storm fan, he lives in far too hot & humid rural Georgia with his two black Labradors: Myth and Magesty. On those rare occasions he tears himself away from reading, writing and conventions he can be found enjoying bad scifi movies, playing D&D or the occasional video game, getting hit with sticks in the SCA or hanging out with the crew of Starfleet International’s U.S.S. DaVinci. To learn more about Michael, check out his website at www.deliriousscribbles.com
Fairly interesting story (akin to Frederick's gateway in the beginning. but, the last 8-10 chapters are just too strange to make any sense. I've read them several times, and I just can't make it work for me. Don't know what the author was going for here, but I think the story was really good until the last quarter or so, after that, it just fell apart. The story is pretty good up to that point though, and maybe the ending makes more sense to others than it does to me, so feel free to add this one to your to read shelf, just be prepared.
this was a great start to the Wayman Chronicles series, it was a great concept and I enjoyed what I read. It does a great job in being a scifi novel and had a lot of great nostaglia on this. It left me wanting to read more in this series and from the author.

This was a fun-filled romp through 11 universes. I enjoyed the network of worlds that Michael J Allen created, it reminded me a little of Big Trouble in Little China. Sam Bridger is straight from an 80s action movie, complete with snappy one-liners and heavy duty weaponry. He's a womanizer, but he has a good heart. If you like a light-hearted sci-fi fantasy, then this is the book for you.
While I did get this book in order to write a voluntary review I was in for more of an enjoyable ride than I originally thought it'd be.
The main character Sam Bridges seems very much so like an average 80's he-man, but over the course of the book and by the end not only do you get to see that he's much deeper, but it's also good to see his growth around the end of the novel.
What I liked most about this is that while the future is open for more adventures with Samuel Oswald Bridger, there's a definite ending and no cliffhanger.
It's funny, interesting, and doesn't really slow down once it gets started. Thanks for another winner here, Michael!.
