Lost Siren #4

Emme's Enforcer

Rate this book
Writing down your dreams…that sounded pretty harmless right?
Turned out, I was sort of good at it.
Turned out, it made a good book.

Because who knew you could make money from writing about the man of your dreams.
Who knew it would pay to fantasize about a fictional character you had fallen in love with.

But most of all, who knew that one day a set of doors would open, and you would find out that he wasn't fictional at all.

That he was real.

I had no idea writing could be so dangerous but then when you’re writing about a Demonic Overlord, an Enforcer named Kaiden Wrath, then anything was possible.
Like dreaming of him in trouble and knowing you’re the only one who knew how to save him. The only one who can save the Demon you are obsessed with.
Now all I had to do, was find him and then quickly save myself from…

A Demon’s Wrath.

loved the book

However , the last few chapters are way out of order. Maybe they should be rearranged and uploaded again. About chapter 29 we start reading more about the ending and skipped a whole shot ton of stuff in the middle. Then there was a ending scene after a similar scene that was supposed to be right before the epilogue. There are some quality issues. But it’s a great story.

Okay wow, after three mind-blowing books this one was a bit of a let down.

A. Book #3 was too sweet, gradually leading up to revealing Emme's identity to Wrath yet all this feels like a wasted effort since the fourth book sprints through at such a pace that it left me questioning if I'd missed a memo or something. I even went back a few pages couple of times to make sure I didn't skip over anything.

B. Emme came up with too many ridiculous ideas and Hel here, is fanning out those ideas, convincing Wrath to follow through them. Wrath seems like an intelligent guy but I donno why he does half the things he did in this book.

C. The love-making scenes of this duology doesn't hold a candle to the previous couple. As fellow readers have mentioned, it felt pretty impersonal and delayed.

Wow what a read, this has everything, love and romance, cute banter, friendships, loads of angst, mistrust, hurt, pain and so much more. We finally find out how Raina came to be, Kaiden finally get his life owed from the King, and a super sweet proposal are just some of what happens. Although we get a small introduction to the next siren and her fated, hopefully we won’t have to wait too long, I highly recommend this series.

So exciting!

Exciting! Loved Emmeline Raidne and Kaiden Wrath's story. It made me cry and hold my breath at every turn. I was also in love with Helmer Wrath. I can't wait for his story or Ryker Wyeth! You are an amazing Author, you draw us in and make us feel like we are there watching this story unfold with each word you write. Thank you!

Brilliant.

This book has again hit the mark!! I really do love the story between Wrath and Emmeline. I was shocked as to who Raina is, but it was obvious who else was making things easier for her.

Sorry I can't say anything else otherwise I'd be spoiling things for you. Yeah I know that's mean of me, but be honest now, aren't you chomping at the bit to find out what I'm on about?? 😂😂🙈🙈

Just like the other three books in this series, it's all action, sexual tension and untrustworthy individuals, along with painful betrayals, and heartbroken tears.

And amongst it all is poor Helmer who has to constantly attempt to keep Kaiden, from tearing the place apart, from many temper tantrums being thrown around....

Men eh?? 🙄🙄 Seriously 🙈🙈 🤦🤦

Now at the end of this book it actually states;

The End.

Please tell me that's not the case, as there is a lot still to go on this. For a start all the other sirens and their enforcers, as well as bad guys to get!! Not to mention the summer solstice and the women getting their powers back. So what is happening?!?! Does anyone actually know?? Personally, if this is the case, I feel that this is a stupid place to end the series!! Answers are definitely needed here.

We again have the audio and the same two narrators, Amanda Stribling and Lance Greenfield are again ok, except for the same reason as in Wrath's Siren, as neither do a British accent anywhere within this. Personally if someone is supposed to be British, then a listener is going to expect the effort of that accent being made. But that's all I'm going to say on that matter.

Buy the book but, unless you're happy to forego the accent, then I'd suggest a skip on the audio. It was too late for me, but hopefully this will save someone else that money.....hmm??🤔🤔

I finished reading Book 3 'Wrath's Siren' & Book 4 ‘Emme’s Enforcer’ of Lost Siren Series by Stephanie Hudson and they were GREAT 🤩! (FYI, I’m not affiliated with the author and there are NO spoilers! 🙌🏻)

Guyyyys … so I think I actually liked these BETTER than Books 1 & 2 👏🏻👏🏻… and I wrote an Emoji Review for Books 1 & 2 because I really liked those 🙌🏻! So this is saying something 😀! But there is just something EXTRA ❤️ GREAT about these two books! Stephanie hit a homerun AGAIN!!! 🥳🥳🥳

Ok, so these two books have a really COOL 😎 plotline! It starts off with an ADORABLE 😍 FMC! She’s funny 😝 and goes to a wedding 💒 where yep, she stumbles into WRATH 🥵 (we met this hubba hubba 🔥 at the end of Book 2!) But it quickly becomes apparent that this is NO ORDINARY plot with a FATED MATE 💘 Meet Cute! This is like a “book within a book”… and very nostalgic 😍 to Afterlife!

So you know how in the Scream 😱 🔪 movies there is sort of a “movie within a movie” feel? Like, they are making a movie within a movie? Well this sort of has that feel going on 👏🏻!! Except with it being a “book within a book!” It’s hard to describe without giving away spoilers, but let me just tell you that it was SUPER UNIQUE 👆🏻 and I haven’t read anything like it before 😲! It made me really, really HOOKED on Book 3 in particular as all of this was unfolding 👏🏻! The DRAMA 🎭 , as always with Stephanie Hudson, was SUPERB 🤌🏻 💋!

I really liked the FMC… she just made me chuckle 🤭 and was just super ADORABLE 😍! And the MMC was… yeah, you guessed it… an ALPHAHOLE 😆! But a HOT 🥵 one at that 🔥🔥🔥! He is what this author is FAMOUS 🏆 for writing! He’s a bit of a head nod to Dominic Draven 😈 in Afterlife too and I am here for it 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 (although let’s be honest ✌🏻, I’ll always be TEAM LUCIUS 🥵 … although I might jump on the JARED train 🚂 cause like… NOM 😋 NOM 😋 NOM 😋!) Anyways, I digress 😂!

Basically, I LOVE ❤️ EVERYTHING that Stephanie Hudson writes …so yeah totally check this series out! Oh 🤚🏻! And you DO NOT have to read Afterlife or any of her other series before ‘The Lost Siren 🧜‍♀️’ series! She’s written this series to be pretty stand alone from her other series! Every two books in ‘The Lost Siren 🧜‍♀️’ series is centered around one romantic 💘 couple, so you get a complete HEA 💜 with each set of two books! I will say though that if you end up reading Afterlife and LOVE ❤️ it… these books are SUPER nostalgic to it! But on the other hand 👋🏻, if you want to try some of her books without a great investment of time ⏰ (as all of her series are A LOT of books 📚)… this series is a GREAT 👍🏻 way to dip your toes 🦶🏻 into her books (but you DO need to read the books in this series IN ORDER & this review is for Books 3 & 4!)

So if you like HOT 🥵 alphaholes that are dominant inside & outside the bedroom 🛌 , FMC’s that need saving but also like to do the saving, a pretty COOL 😎 , unique ‘book within the book’ plotline, and ‘I will BURN 🔥 the world down for you’ kind of DRAMA 🎭 … give this a shot! It’s FREE on KU and you never know, it may just SING 🧜‍♀️ to you!

Here's some key elements!
🧜‍♀️ Paranormal Romance (takes place in our modern world, aka, same world as Afterlife!)
🧜‍♀️ F/M
🧜‍♀️ Same couple every two books in the series
🧜‍♀️ Fated Mate 💘 trope
🧜‍♀️ Angels 😇, Demons 👹, Vampires 🧛‍♂️, and Sirens 🧜‍♀️!
🧜‍♀️ Modern writing style ✍️
🧜‍♀️ Two POVs in the 1st person: FMC and MMC
🧜‍♀️ VERY DOMINANT Male (this guy is similar to Dominic Draven y'all and I just love him 🥵🥵🥵)
🧜‍♀️ Starts off with an ADORABLE 😍 FMC!
🧜‍♀️ EXTREMELY NOSTALGIC to Afterlife (if you LOVED Afterlife ... YOU WILL LOVE THIS! But you DO NOT have to read Afterlife first! You do, however, need to read ‘The Lost Siren 🧜‍♀️’ series in order and this is books 3 &4!)
🧜‍♀️ Takes place at the same time as Afterlife Book 1 (Kiera literally just came over ✈️ from England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 to live with her sister while this book's plotline is going on!)
🧜‍♀️ We get to meet up with some oldies-but-goodies from Afterlife 🙌🏻!
🧜‍♀️ THERE IS STEAM 🔥!
🧜‍♀️ THIS has the DRAMA 🎭 that Stephanie Hudson is FAMOUS for!
🧜‍♀️ Romantic HEA by the end of Book 4
🧜‍♀️ Wrath’s Siren has 690+ ratings with close to 5 Stars (at time I wrote this!)
🧜‍♀️ Emme’s Enforcer has 1,125+ ratings with close to 5 Stars (at time I wrote this!)

I'd say 3.5 stars. I was hoping for more intrigue and heat, but mainly got too much Emme pushing away and then moping about Wrath and Raina. That was a bit too repetitive and could have been summed up a bit quicker.
I did like the ending with the foreshadowing of the next Enforcer story...that scene was intense! And the tidbit chapter with a nod to The King was a fitting end.
I realize the individual stories of each Enforcer/Siren may be meant to be on the shorter side, but Book 4 seemed to drag out too much at the beginning then rush to finish. Hoping the next don't follow suit.
Still, I love Stephanie Hudson's Afterlife worlds and look forward to more!

hurried

I am a huge Stephanie Hudson fan and love the Afterlife world. While I am loving the Lost Sirens series and seeing how it links into Dom and Keira’s story … this fourth book felt rushed and very un-Stephanie. There were a number of editing errors in both this and book 3 - the ex boyfriends name changed from Mark to Dean. Then the ending felt like time had run out and it just needed to be finished to meet a deadline rather giving us all the wonderful detail we would usually get from a book in this series. Nevertheless I still loved the storyline and am looking forward to the next books in the series

A perfect balance of him vs her

Honestly people, Stephanie created another cast of characters that we're all sure to hunger for. Emme's chemistry with Caiden was a blast to witness developing. Her sassyness and his adoration for her quirkiness had me grinning, chuckling, and even envious.
Luckily, there was no negative affect on the storyline development, considering how short the novel was. Steph's ability to connect a monkey-branched calamity of a storyline really shines in book 4!
The voice actors spared no effort in their performances. Each deserves a 5 star award for really bringing emotion to the monologue. I look forward to revisiting this cast again.

Enforcer Kaiden Wrath

This is book four in the Lost Siren series. I am reading this series and related book. This is the duet book for Enforcer Kaiden Wrath and his siren Emmeline. His Siren doesn’t believe that she is a siren and this is complicating their journey together. Emme loves Kaiden and would do anything for him. His brother Hel is the best wingman for both his brother and Emme. Hel is working to keep these two together or at least moving forward. There is a few enemies that these two must defeat to have their happy ending. Their story wraps up in this book. Read On!

Review for books 1 and 2.

I thought the first book started great, then slowed down some and the got more interesting at the end. Oh, by the way, book 1 is a cliffhanger. The characters in the book were interesting and fun. There were spelling errors and missing words from sentences making them kind of odd and nonsensical. They weren't hard to figure out.
Book 2 started off where book 1 left off, of course, and progressed into a more interesting and enjoyable book. I liked these demon dudes. They weren't really bad guys but they were bad ass guys. The ending of the book is good and makes you want to read more about these sexy demon guys.

Good but strange ending!

Stephanie Hudson always writes a good paranormal love story. That being said, I began getting confused in the last few chapters. There were some characters that got seemingly thrown in at the end, along with a strange plot twist that didn't really make sense. Possibly trying to make a lead in for another, similar story?

**On an entirely different subject (or should I say different series), I've been impatiently waiting for the finale of the Transfusion series, "Lucius and Amelia's Happily Ever Afterlife." Also hoping to see the next Hellbeast King book. Please don't leave us hanging Stephanie!!

loved Emme’s 2 books

I absolutely loved Emme’s two books. I didn’t enjoy Wards story as much but understand it had to start the storyline. These 2 books were absolutely hilarious as well as heart wrenching. I love Emme’s relationship with Roger, so frigging funny.

Well thought out storyline and world building, nice spin off series from Afterlife. Not as good as Afterlife, Transfusion or Hellbeast series’ but a fantastic filler while I wait for Stephanie’s next books. These books aren’t as wordy as the main series but I enjoyed that.

Amazing!!

Absolutely loved this book. The way Stephanie writes her characters with a sense of humour gets you so invested in them with a rollercoaster of emotions. So glad Emme ended up believing she was his siren just wish she saw it sooner as he was such a fab character that clearly loved her from the start.
Can’t wait to read the next siren books.
Would definitely recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Demons have halos?

I really loved this story, Stephanie. Talk about a hard headed, feisty, stubborn female character and that would be Emmeline. She is only matched by her Demon lover as he too can't always see the forest for the trees. Sometimes I wanted to reach in and shake them both to make them listen! I hope Hel finds his love too. Please keep writing because you are the best story teller ever!

A little disappointed

I absolutely love this series, however I felt a little disappointed with this last book. The story dragged on in the beginning and rushed at the end. I thought the love scene felt rushed and impersonal. The rescue at the end was rushed and what happened to the 2nd siren in the tank no elaboration. However I still love these stories and the writing holds you finished book in one night.

Hudson is a genius

Loved loved loved every page.
Oh Kaiden Wrath.
Emme is still trying to get Kaiden to wait and see if there is another out there for him.
He wants and knows she is his. Frustrated and beyond fed up with it all he listens to Emme’s idea.
Well he didn’t expect what came his way.

Such an amazing read. And that ending makes me very eager for future books. Can’t wait for Hel’s Siren.

A really good read!!

Ok so I'm not gonna lie I was pushed to the limit with Emmeline, she was so frustrating sometimes! That kind of made me want to carry on reading it more though, I needed to know if she got through this!! I needed to know how! 😄 I wasn't disappointed, I really enjoyed reading it. The characters are fantastic, I'm lovin Hel and Tristan!! Can't wait for book 5, this is gonna be another cracking series from Stephanie.

good book

Love Stephanie Hudson’s books. However…. This book felt like the ending was rushed, but when the writer usually takes 12 books to write a couple’s story then what do you expect when she’s packing it into two books instead. It is nice to not be left on a cliffhanger for months on end until the next book comes out… hoping with the later siren books we get a little more of the characters from the first 4 books.

perfection

She’s done it again. Stephanie Hudson gifts us another masterpiece. The queen of flirty banter and slow burn until to think you’ll combust, then hits it out of the park.

Wrath and Emmeline were 🔥🔥🔥🔥,and the plot was so unique.

I CAN NOT WAIT for Hel’s book, because as usual, Stephanie sprinkles in a character that you obsess over even more than the main characters!

Thank you for another one. Please never stop this series.

Loved It so much!

Wonderful ending. I love Emme’s character she is not only funny, smart but also beautiful inside and out.

Kaiden on the other hand is hot as hades, and one powerful demon with one thing on his mind, claiming his siren!

Please be aware that Emme and Kaiden’s chemistry is off the chart and there will be hot hot scenes!

In closing, I loved, loved, loved this book and series and Stephanie Hudson is starting to become one of my favorite authors.

These two books about Emme and Kaiden, I just couldn't stop reading. It seemed like after each chapter I read, I had to continue. I just had to find out what happened to Emme and her amazing love for Kaiden. I felt sorry for her, but, poor Kaiden just could not get it through her thick skull that she was meant to be his.

So as I sat and did nothing except read I finally finished and loved every minute of it. Can't wait to see what happens next.

Please fix the editing.

Hudson is one of my favorite authors but this feels rushed. Emme just cries for chapters in the beginning and when they finally come together for the first time it skips to the end because the pages are out of order. I had to stop reading. Still love this author but I'll reread Transfusion.

Good Read

This book ran me through a load of emotions and I found myself really feeling for Emme at certain points. I loved the story and I was glad that Wrath and Emme’s story was totally different to the last one and I loved how it all tied together. This is most definitely a book I would recommend giving a read.

What fun!

I really enjoyed this one! Kaiden is hilariously grumpy when he doesn't get his own way which was perfectly offset by Emmeline's selflessness. Though I did feel like she needed a swift kick in the bum for faffing about so much. So who is the mystery unclaimed siren? Next book, please.
