4.5 stars. This was a tremendous outing with Rick Wood. The pacing and flow were spot on, the characters and plot were all developed well, and it was a very enjoyable experience. Some of it felt a little far-fetched, mainly Will's, our one lead, decision to not report Destiny's advances on him in the classroom, and even Harper, our alternate lead, becoming brainwashed by 'Danny' into almost committing a very serious crime. I suspended disbelief a bit, and I'm glad that I did, as everything else was sublime. The other big question that I had, and I may have missed it somehow, was why Felix and Harper were doing everything to Will and Harper. That was a bit unclear and could have used some additional clarification. But this was a very intense and terrifying experience brought to us by Rick Wood, who is a master of his craft.

This new book by this author is the first in a new series DC Will Coady.

Will Coady is failing at everything his job, marriage and most of all his daughter, this mystery book had me shouting at the character to get a grip because I was willing him to do better in a respects of his life. Will he be able to dig deep and find the strength to win back his daughter but at what cost, what destruction will Will and his daughter Harper have to do to survive before it is too late. This book held my attention from the first page to the very last. Anticipation to see what unfolds for next in this new series!!
