The threat of humans creates tension within the Yakama tribe as Kuli grows older and struggles to find his place among the other Sasquatches. Both Kuli and the tribe must make choices to keep themselves safe. Some of those choices, though, may end up in disaster for the tribe, or Kuli. Ben Price toys with the idea of Bigfoots actually existing in our world in this epic trilogy. This is an astounding work by a budding author. This story is a Bildungsroman about a young sasquatch named Kuli who must learn to live in a society in which he is deemed an outcast. The book traces Kuli's personal and moral development as he begins to find his own place in the world. It has a perfect balance of action and introspection which makes it both exciting and deeply personal.

If Bigfoots do exist, this might be what their culture is like. This first book in the trilogy introduces us to Kuli and his world, and leaves us wondering what will happen next.
