She’s hiding from her destructive pack. He’s the wolf with all the power.
Wren Archer wants nothing more than to forget her Lycan roots and toxic family. After leaving home at fourteen, she bounced from job to job for nearly a decade, building a wall of protectiveness around her while avoiding her pack.
She might have succeeded in her plan to hide from the world, if not for Landon Burke.
Landon Burke wears his bachelorhood like a badge of honor. Miriam’s spell on the Council of Seven had been nonsense to him…until he could no longer ignore the signs that his mate was out there.
Inexplicably drawn to a bartender at a nightclub, Landon’s cocksure personality takes an uncharacteristic turn. However, when Wren’s resistance to him proves to be a bigger problem than he anticipates, the Alpha wolf knows he has to take action.
Unbeknownst to Landon, his plan to get closer to Wren might ultimately drive a wedge between them so deep that even mates can’t overcome.
If you love werewolf romances, bad boys, shifters, witches, and alphas who know how to take charge, then you will love Forbidden Wolf in the Council of Seven paranormal romance series.
Content Warning: Explicit love scenes and lots of sexy shifters. Intended for 18+ audiences.
Landon Burke, is a bit oblivious to the things going on in the world, even though technically as the Lycan Council member it is his job to know what is at least going on with the lycan packs. He also doesn’t really think much of Miriam’s , the old witches council member, spell to ensure that all those on the council without mates finds one. One could even say that Landon is a playboy, but why not. Landon’s life changes after Miriam passes away and her starts to get migraines on a regular basis. They get worse when he meets the intriguing Wren. Wren didn’t have an easy start in life and honestly, she’s struggling. Her family was a lot of things, but you couldn’t really call them supportive or loving and Wren has done her best to cut all ties with her family and her pack. She doesn’t really trust easily amd the people she does trust, she tries to do everything for them. She’s had to rely on only herself for too long and she’s very skeptical of Landon’s true motives for getting to know her. Both Landon and Wren have a massive chip on their shoulder and really need to come to terms with what’s between the two of them. Landon finally accepts the fact that Wren is his mate, now he just has to convince her. This was a fun read and I can’t wait to see what Juniper Hart has in store for the remaining council members.

I have adored all of Juniper Hart's books until this one. Wren is from a criminal family and Landon is on the Council of shifters representing the Lycans. They have to fight many issues, including reputations, misunderstandings and difference in class, before finding their HEA. I will not reveal any spoilers but I will say that I felt as though I was short-sheeted. Forbidden Wolf was great until the epilogue. The author could have (and IMHO) should have expanded the plot to include Jordan and the Elliot Bay pack situation. The book was well-written and carried the reader along a suspenseful ride but the ending left me frustrated.

I was granted an ARC of Juniper Hart's "Forbidden Wolf (Council of Seven)" via Booksprout; I recommend this book to others based upon its own merits. All opinions expressed within this review are uniquely my own & freely given! Until next time... Happy Reading!
Juniper Hart has brought us another well-written story and if you enjoy alpha shifters then you'll enjoy this one. The story has interesting characters and a look at how complacency can corrupt a society.
Wren is a strong and independent heroine who was born into a family of addicts, who were prone violence, theft and more. To escape the toxic environment that had already corrupted her brother, Wren left home at 14 and didn't look back. She worked hard to give herself a better life than the one she was born into. Then she met Landon and her family and their problems re-entered her life.
Landon is the Lycan Alpha over all the Lycan packs and a member of the 7-member paranormal ruling council. He has no idea how the lower classes live and then he finds his mate in Wren and begins to learn.
I really enjoyed this story, but felt it could have had more in-depth information on the main characters, especially Wren's brother. Therefore only 4 stars.

Archer comes from the lowest pack in the pecking order. One of corruption, crime and drugs. It had always been a dream of hers and her brother Jordan to stand by each other so they could leave before being sucked into anything. At least that was the plan until Jordan seemingly decided to participate leaving her on her own at the age of fourteen. Landon is on the Council of Seven as head of all Lycan. He's known for staying up in his Ivory Tower, making money, and his playboy one night stands. Miriam Alwin's spell for the Council members to find their mates come into play once again in the second book of "Council of Seven". Juniper Hart has given us a look at what the repercussions could be when you fight fate. The plot here was evenly laid out and there were lessons learned all around by the characters, some we've already met and new ones we've met in this story. Again, she's wove a tale so captivating I didn't want to put it down until it was finished.
Shifter Wren works as a bartender and attracts the attention of Councilman Landon Burke. Shifter Wren comes from a family who are immersed in criminal activity and to escape she left home at fourteen and lives and works with her friend Christiana. Their current job is as bartenders which leaves them open to harassment by other shifters and when a pair of twin shifters starts in on them they are told to stop and leave by Councillor Wolf Alpha Landon Burke. He has been getting headaches but near Wren they ease off then come back with a vengeance when he leaves her company. Coming from such a low ranking and bad pack she feels unworthy and is reluctant to get involved. A shifter romance to relax and enjoy

Another fantastic story by Juniper Hart and this story Forbidden Wolf is another great addition to the Council of Seven series, and these books are all standalones. Wren has been hiding from her pack for years her parents tried to involve her in illegal activities but Wren didn’t want anything to do with any of it so she ran. Landon is a council member and he is investigating a pack that has been doing illegal activities, he’s also found his mate who is a part of that pack but Wren keeps pushing Landon away. This is an exciting story full of intrigue, danger, a horrible family, passion and so much more to keep you entertained and turning the pages. A fantastic story and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

Another fantastic of one of the Seven who is determined that he doesn't need a mate as he loves being able to sleep around with who & whom he wants to, even though he's been struggling with migraine's which you wouldn't expect an alpha immortal Lycan Shifter to experience, but Landon Burke does. Well that is until he keeps seeing Wren Archer who's from one of the lowest pack of the Lycan's the Elliot Bay Pack. So here we see if either one of them will embrace their mating. We see how Wren's started off with her parents & brother Jordan, then what she's been doing to survive with her best mate Christina after they left their pack behind as teens...
Another member of the Council of 7 finally finds his mate - but is fighting it for a while with everything he has. Coming from the strongest and richest pack of Lycans Landon Burke looks down on Wren Archer, as her pack is TROUBLE spelled with capital letters. Wren ran away from her family and pack more than 10 years ago, to not be dragged into that kind of low criminal life her pack stood for. 2 complete opposites, but fate decided they complement each other perfectly. Both need to learn of the other's life to understand and to accept the challenge of being together. As ususal, well-written and highly entertaining with a touch of suspense. Love the careful mix of it all. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

The second book in the Council of Seven series. Lycan representative Landon Burke has found his mate who is a member of a pack under serious investigation and set for dismantling. Wren has been running and hiding from her pack for years, trying to escape the illegal activities her family tried to involve her in. Now her brother has tracked her down, in so much trouble, and in desperate need of help. Can she trust Landon for help? I liked this story but I would have loved reading more with Wren and Landon and their mating bond.

Landon is the top wolf. Wren is from one of the lowest packs and is from one of the worst families in that pack. But you can't help what family you're born into. Now if only he realises that she has nothing in common with her family except her DNA. She hasn't seen any of them in years and that's the way she likes it. I loved this story. It's proof that true love can alter people's ideas and even their personalities. Love does conquer all and we will do anything for the ones we love - be it a lover, or a brother. A great book in this fabulous series. I really didn't want it to end. I'm glad it's in a series so that I get more fun from the Council of Seven

Verified ARC Reader Shifters dont always get it right
A great story with so many twists … A leader who doesn't know his people and a mate who is too far beneath his notice ? A well written tale that is more the pauper and the prince than Romeo and Juliet with lots of naughtiness and non or mis-communication causing even more complications . Real story lines and not so many steamy scenes in this romance perfect if love is your aim more than lust

Forbidden Wolf bu Juniper Hart This is the story of Wren and Landon. Wren works and lives with her friend Christana. Wren left home when she was fourteen when her parents got her broth Jordan high and involved in the family crime business. Landon is a rich playboy, who likes just one night stands. He meets Wren at a club and starts to fall for her. They have a lot to over come. I found their story so interesting. I had a hard time putting it down. I highly recommended this book. This is a really good read about Landon and Wren, who are both wolf shifters but from vastly different classes. This book really pulled me in because I related to Landon's migraines and then to learn about Wren and her family and their struggles. It's a well written and developed book with lots of passion, heat, forgiveness and a couple twists thrown in for good measure. It's well worth the read. 💕💗💕

Another Council of Seven tale! This one is 2 Werewolves from either side of the tracks. Landon is a womaniser and Wren from a criminal family trying to deny and escape her roots. She tends bar and meets Landon after he defends her from twin aggressors from her pack! She does not trust his motives and balks at the connection but when her brother comes to her for help she involves Landon, A dramatic process ensues and all in all a rollicking good tale of love and redemption
I received this as an ARC copy and am leaving this review freely and without reservations
You can’t help but love a story where the entitled ass gets put in his place by his mate. While Wren in the driving factor in Landon’s change and can’t help but say I admired Christiana for her honest and loyalty. She was the one that made him stop and take stock. I was all in with this book until the end. The book ends so abruptly leaving so much to be desired. It was a rush to sum up in an epilogue when I would have much rather had the extra pages to read. Great story so I recommend it just be prepared for the story to come to an abrupt end.
Having a bad family pack who keeps trying to get her to be involved with their illegal activities she leaves home at 14. Things are great until one member of her family is in trouble and thinks she can help. Well along comes someone who knows she is his mate. But forget it she thinks. It is exciting, emotional, suspenseful, surprising and so much more. I recommend it. I was given a review copy and voluntarily review it.
Love this series! We follow Landon the Lycan aka player. He keeps getting migraines and doesn't know what's causing them. Wren and her friend Chris bartend for a living and ran away from the harsh environments of their childhood in pack living. But everything Wren was hiding from finds her at work. From jealous hookups to trying to fix the divide in the classes. Landon and Wren have their hands full.
Four and a half stars... This is a very engaging story. Wren is a poor young woman working in a bar just to pay the rent. Landon is the Alpha in charge of all the wolf packs. What a rough path they have. They are both wonderful characters with a very different set of problems. Will they ever get together or will their misunderstandings keep them apart? I recommend you read this to find out.

An enjoyable read about true mates from totally different backgrounds and the top and bottom of their Lycan hierarchy. Wren was a great character who had worked hard to leave her past and her family behind. Landon had everything easy and no idea what was really happening within the packs he was supposed to represent. A great story with an excellent epilogue.

3 1/2 star rating ( I round up ) Pretty good read, I enjoyed the story. It fizzled out towards the end. It's like the Author decided that she is done telling the story and leaves out a lot. Skips forward and tries to tie up the book into a nice ending. Would have been better if the reader got more information on the situations instead of feeling like they were going for a word count... made it... don't need to clear up anything.... on to the next.
This was a pretty good read. I liked Wren and felt for her. It was no surprise that she had the issues she did because her family was really something else. Landon grew on me. I can't say I liked him at the start but I did warm up to him. This was a good read but I wish I had felt a stronger and deeper connection between the characters. This is my sincere, voluntary review.
Wren left her home at a young age to get away from the trouble of her family. After many years her brother finds her. She turns to Landon for help. Landon has to help her because she is his mate. This had a great plot and the characters seemed to have a great chemistry.

This was a hot read. The twist and turns had me on edge. It was entertaining and captivating. The storyline was spot on. The little steamy scenes were hot. The structure of the characters and their emoitions were remarkable. An overall unconventional love story.

The top of the food chain, Landon Burke, finds his mate in the lowest pack of the chain in Wren. Wren has a boatload of a chip on her shoulder because of her past and can't seem to see past it. This was a great addition to the series and I can't wait to see what is in store for us next!!
