Little Hen! Little Hen! What Can You See? is a very short, repetitive, lift-the-flaps book. On each double-page, the left-hand side asks ‘Little Hen! Little Hen! What Can You See? and the right-hand side is an image of an animal hidden behind something such as a bucket. The child then lifts the flap to see which animal is hiding.

The book is very colourful, has beautiful illustrations and large font. The text is kept to a minimum and with the same question being repeated on each page children will get to learn the words. The last lift the flap contains a mirror so that kiddies can see themselves in the book.

The pages are very thick and the flaps are very thick too, meaning that is a book that will be hard for a child to destroy if left alone with it.

I think the book is lovely and hard-wearing. It is small in size and square in shape. It is quite heavy though for a child due to how thick each page is, the price you pay for a book aimed at the youngest children. I can see little ones adoring the book, especially as it contains animals and a mirror.

A cute little Lift the Flap Book, my Little One loves this, nice repetition to keep her engaged and of course that last page with the mirror - making her part of the book, just made her smile and giggle!
I’ll be purchasing a copy of this for her upcoming 1st Birthday 🥳

The flaps are such a thrill, especially when the one on the last page opens to a mirror and I admire myself✨
