The past -1865... Treymore Hall on the banks of the Ashley River in Charleston South Carolina right before the Civil War amid the danger and turmoil surrounding her Matilda Emilia Duvane Treymore dreamed of more from life than what she knew. Brought up in the South during the 19th century, forced to ignore the 'gift' she had inherited from her ancestors, and endure the confining life of a 'proper' Southern Belle, Emilia seizes a chance to run away from the plantation she has known her whole life and follow her dreams of becoming an actress or playwright on Broadway in New York City. Stopping at her brother's plantation Willow Manor to walk through the Gardenia garden she has loved so much one last time before going to New York, Emilia finds more than she had ever imagined when she is flung into the future of 1963 and her dreams take a sudden unexpected turn. Confused yet undaunted, Emilia is determined to follow her dreams no matter the century, even when the past comes back to haunt her.... Anthony Phipps disappears on the grounds of Willow Manor in April 1865 searching for Emilia. Confused and disbelieving, Anthony suddenly finds himself in another time, another place - in fact, the era of the early sixties. Anthony must find a way to go back to the past but he unexpectedly finds the one person he has been searching for. Emilia. But a sudden, horrible accident causes him to lose his memory. Flashes, images, of the 1800's haunt him as he tries to remember who he is, images of a young girl that he cannot understand. Images that lead him on a journey to find the one person whom can truly help him know his past...
An unknown other world is exposed when the 'paranormal doorway' on the plantation of Willow Manor, transports two people into the er of the early 1960's and life as they knew it is changed forever...
