Theo Cinder is not a man one wants to cross paths with in Los Angeles. He is a man so filled with rage at the universe that he inflicts it with sarcastic glee upon every adult within range of his verbal barbs.
Only Trevor, his estranged long term partner, understands the pain that is buried beneath Theo's cynical, acidic exterior. Their separation has only brought Theo's underlying anger bristling to the surface with reckless vengeance.
When Theo's car needs repair he leaves it with his mechanic and takes a bus home. However, to his horror the sole occupant of the driver-less bus proves to be a strange spirit being, a professorial, silhouette-like "creature of no color" who calls himself "Charlie".
Charlie soon informs Theophilos Cinder that he is required to take a mandatory course in Life 101, a journey through the emotionally traumatic events in his past which will reveal why he has become such a bitter and enraged man.
Will Theo experience an epiphany, allowing him to connect with the human race and re-unite with Trevor?

I write literary fiction that presents human beings in extraordinarily challenging crises or situations that call upon more strength and courage than my protagonists think they have.
These are intensely dramatic and often suspenseful stories that also offer humor, romance (both hetero and gay) , a supernatural or mystical element, and what may best be described as spiritual or philosophical food for thought.
If there is anything distinct about my books it is that they unabashedly feature gay protagonists and characters as well as heterosexuals. Hopefully that will not get me banished to the GLBTQ+ bin because the only letter that truly informs these books is "H". These are Human books readily relatable to any adult human.
The only exception is my non-fiction title "Why Gay Isn't Gay But is Still Great", a title targeted to a gay male audience (although it may be of interest to others).
I hope you enjoy any and all of my books as much as I loved writing them! SK

"I Believe For Every Drop of Rain..." tells the story of Scrooge as an updated cautionary tale. The writing style is comparable to some of our greatest authors and the characters are believable and sympathetic. By the end of this story, I felt hopeful and inspired to do my best to permit those rain drops to help me to bloom with positivity. This novel is a welcome edition to my library and I recommend it to anyone who is searching for the brighter side of life.

The book began with a strangeness...beautiful, spiritual...
The story was simple and true about humanity...
The ending was surprising...
Main character narration was clever...unnecessary frequent use of profanity...such emotions can be described differently and just as powerful [since author feels power comes of debasing words]...
strong beginning and ending...
