This is a great book that is wonderfully written. It has many characters with very distinct personalities that you'll absolutely love (or hate depending on what role they're portrayed in). I can't wait for the next book to come out!

For a subject that has been done to near death, this book has spun a web of fresh light over a genre that desperately needs it.

I'm not going to comment on the writer's vision for this work. It's very possible that the idea is a solid one, but it's lost in the distractions of confusing pacing and plot. There were moments and characters that could have been enjoyable, but they all felt thrown together. This could have been better. But this is a first draft at best. It was not thoroughly proofread, as it is riddled with grammar issues and inconsistencies. The plot could have used some editing as well. It was not pulled together neatly and it ran on with too many characters and conflicts and no conclusion. Even in a series, a book has to come to a point, and this really didn't. Hopefully, for future books in the series, there will be more time taken to smooth out the issues before publication.
