Saya J.B. is a Canadian science fiction author based in rural Saskatchewan. Raised in Indonesia by Canadian parents, he writes with a global perspective and a taste for satire. A former Army Reservist and current educator, Saya blends cyberpunk grit, speculative chaos, humor, and bureaucratic absurdity. When not writing, he enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time outdoors with his wife and their spoiled dog.
Saya J.B.'s Operation Crimsonfeather was a fun ride, so I was bummed to find out book two in the Pylen and Grael Sci-Fi Caper series isn’t out yet. Guess I’ll go ahead and sign up for the author’s newsletter so I don’t miss it when it finally drops.
3.5* - a decent first entry into what could become a super fun series. a fun little plot, an interesting world, and characters with a lot of potential. characters were the weakest element for me, they weren't bad but just felt a little flat. with a bit more personality injected into the leads and maybe a little cheekier comedy, this could become a great series. a little longer may help, give us more time to get to know our characters.
