The stakes keep rising in this compelling epic as clerics Finn and Inge must guide the surviving royal children through hostile territory and back to the capitol before enemies seize the throne. Meanwhile, Urban and Aske are investigating a dark plot that points to the same powers that are attempting to dominate the union of Akiniwazi.
Boncher does an excellent job balancing all the threads of political intrigue, adventure and character development into a well-paced page turner. His vivid prose and unique blend of theology, authentic cultural details and sheer imagination make this series one of the more enjoyable literary journeys I've taken in some time. Definitely looking forward to the next installment!
