I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I'm not completely sure how I feel about The Girl with the Glowing Hair.

I liked the general plot, and I am intrigued by the world. That said, the world building needs expanding on. I need to know more about what makes everyone tick and why. Granted, that will helpfully come with book two.

As for the characters, I again find myself intrigued. I like Lily and her family, and I like Starr and Evan. I think Adam is a creep.

The end of the book, and my interest in Lily and her story, have me excited for book two. 4 stars.

I loved the story and characters! The world is intriguing, and the glimpse you get into how things work is enough for you to understand what is going on, but still be lured in enough to look forward to learning more! Some of my favorite books series follow that the entire world does not need to be explained in book one, but rather feeds you bits so you understand the plot and character motivations, but still want to learn more. I think the characters were well done - following what you learn about the world, without knowing everything about them. You get to see them change and grow with each other. The town in this book seems like another character all its own - not just the people occupying it, but you get the impression that as the town has grown, more and more of it has evolved so there is much more than meets the eye.

Looking forward to learning more about this world and its inhabitants as the series progresses.

Enjoyable story. The characters are well portrayed, just don’t care for Adam. Ready for the next one.

Welp, this is my book, so I'm biased.

It did make me cry on my re-read (the eighth), so I've got to be pretty happy with that, right?

Such a fun read - a great mystery whodunnit but the characters are what sucked me in because they are all so fun and interesting. Lily is cool and tough. She has a missing mother who she wants to find. Evan is a brooding loner with a mysterious origin. Adam is an asshole who might actually be a good guy underneath. I loved Starr - the popular mean girl who is secretly a loving big sis and good friend. And Thorn the flirty heartthrob.
I am so here for the next mystery they solve!

😻

I had a really hard time understanding some of what the characters where saying. It was just a bit to weird. I also could not stand Adam. But I did like Evan, in fact him and starr where the only ones I liked.
