Snowman Paul is back and this time it's his friend Kate's birthday!
Our lead character made a mistake and almost ruined Kate's birthday, but Snowman Paul came to the rescue! Together, the two of them come up with an epic idea and initiate the plan to make Kate's birthday super, duper awesome!
This book was sweet and is yet again full of pretty illustrations. There are bright colours with the soft illustrations, which makes for a cohesive story. I honestly love these water colour pictures and I'm glad that they kept it consistent throughout the series.
Overall, this book is a great addition to your picture book and children's book shelf!
Four out of five stars.
I received this book for free from the author Yossi Lapid in exchange of an honest review.
Joanna Pasek’s illustrations are just magical. The watercolours really move you. I’ve especially enjoyed this volume because both the story and the illustrations are not Christmas related and even though I know the entire series is supposed to revolve around the Christmas Season. I really liked the story and Paul and the way the whole situation was solved
Paul finds the boy sad he says what's wrong the boy says I kinda ate Katie's birthday cake. So paul and the boy set out to make Katie a beautiful surprise out side and mom has one too
It is Kates Birthday when Dan cannot help himself. Looking at the cake, he ended up eating it all up and having it for himself. He turns to his friend Snowman Paul who suggests he work all night to solve the problem.
I like this book. I am a huge fan of Snowman Paul, however, I did find one big dilemma. This book never makes Dan responsible for eating the cake. Yes, he tries to do the right thing, but in my opinion he should have had a small conversation or even admit to his mother or sister he accidentally at the cake. I am happy this mother came to the rescue but there is still a gap when it comes to learning.
However, that aside, as an educator, we filled in the blanks and encourage the kids to talk about how they would go about talking to their mother or sister about fixing such a mistake.
Overall this is a nice book, but I think it lacks one important lesson.

The Snowman Paul Series: Vol. 1–4 By Yossi Lapid Starts out with the snow falling, very colorful children's book. Hard to read the words and with two devices I'm not able to enlarge them. After Paul assembles the snowman he starts talkng to Paul and he just wants to play. They run in the snow and play while others are watching... Another book is about snowman Paul and he's reading about the Olympics and wants to compete...Like how he helps him exercise to build up his muscles... Another book is about them saving Kate's birthday. Such detailed colorful places and lots of special things to look at-reminds me of the green room in good night moon. And at the concert hall This snowman can do just everything! Other works by the author are highlighted at the end, along with a gift. Coloring page when you subscribe to the authors newsletter.

They made a Royal Carriage pulled by micd, special puppet show and more. Kate loved them for her present and was ready for cake. They didn't know what to say. There is a surprise ending that you will lo e. This book will give you wonderful dreams because The story is so good and the picture are so pretty. This is great backstory for your wee ones. T he illustrations are over the moon and the story will make your heart sing for the brother and sister show of love I was gifted this book for an honest review.
What a charming and beautiful book. The illustrations are gorgeous. The story is simple and at the same time gives us many lessons. In this rhyming book, Kate's birthday is almost ruined by her brother's gluttony, but he makes for it with the help of the Paul who is a great character and in the end, all ends well. I love their expressions and the soft colors the most.
