This was a slow start for me. I didn’t like either character in previous books (don’t know why I didn’t like Lia). But I liked them by the end.

Things seem to be both brutal and easy in this world. Lia gets over her trauma really easily. Big things are sorted in a chapter.

Should warn, triggers for people affected by rape and/or suicide.

what a whiner

I like the first three books of this series, in spite of the need of editing (far too many misplaced commas). The main character of this one is simply too whiny. I understand the need for a character to have to grow, and to overcome obstacles for the story to progress. Lia just whines her way through to the very end.

What A Beautiful Woman

Jenny Madore has done a wonderful job of making a strong woman out of an insecure girl with her heroine in this fabulous tale. A great continuing saga for the Scourge series... one that leaves you waiting impatiently for the next book in the series 😗

Fae

A queen on her path to the throne. A trial with no positive end in sight. Love on a protective burn.

I just read this entire series in the course of three days. I think that this may have been my favorite. JL madore does a fantastic job of weaving her land and stories together and it makes each book more cohesive and better for it. You feel like you know the other characters as much as the current lead. I am ready for the next book and so sad if it’s to be the last. Captivating and suspenseful and romantic.
