A specialist in Tudor England, Stanford Lehmberg earned his BA (1953) and MA (1954) from the University of Kansas, and his Ph.D. (1956) from the University of Cambridge. He taught at the University of Texas from 1956 until 1969, and at the University of Minnesota from 1969 until his retirement in 1999.
