AR's vivid word usage allowed me to feel like I was there experiencing everything with Kat. A complete, tastefully filled explanation doesn't leave us wondering about who our main character is. The medical setting and explanation of the transformation from human to vampire seemed so realistic. The different relationships between the characters were very extensive and appealing keeping me intrigued as to how they would play themselves out. Nick (Nicholas)-swoon-he sounds beautiful to look at and how he's a protector and supportive of Kat with everything she's going through made my insides melt. Again the words AR utilized made me feel like I was part of their world watching their relationship grow. The sex and romance is juicy & raw--which I love!! Kat's personality as a strong, independent woman is empowering and she won't go down with a fight. She's also a genuine person that doesn't reap benefits from the innocent. Seeing Kat and her family overcome such struggles spoke to the reality of having loved ones for support. If you love paranormal and steamy romance, this book is for you...And lets keep our fingers crossed for a sequel. Give it a try!

2 and a 1/2 towards 3 stars

I am picky with my book tastes, but I am open enough to read almost anything that crosses my way; especially if it has vampires.  I discovered Bloodline Immersed in You while browsing freebies for Kindle and was immediately drawn to the premise of a nurse who turns into a vampire after an accident in the ER with a needle. I jumped into this book with very very low expectations, being a self pub first book, however, I became engrossed with the story, enough to enjoy it despite it's drawbacks.

I enjoyed the plot, as it's a tad different from many of the books out there in the paranormal + vampire genre. In this book we have a female MC who turns into a vampire early in the book. Nick, a hot sexy vampire helps her during her transformation and  becomes her lover. this last part is obviously NOT expected at all :-)

Kathleen - or Katy, Kat- is 36 years old. She lives in our contemporary world, in Texas and works as an ER nurse at a hospital. She is married and had a daughter when she was 16, who doesn't live with her, but with her dad.  Kat's current marriage is in the brink of collapsing, however she is sort of satisfied with most of the aspects of her life; particularly her work and routine. She has a best friend Angie

You'll expect that when 1) she learns that vampires exist, 2) she becomes one and 3); the book would  take a turn focusing towards more paranormal twists, but here is where this book left me dumbfounded. It became a story about the everyday normal life of a middle upper class couple that sometimes in between the: steamy sex scenes, the dinner dates (yeah, our MC loves sushi), hospital shifts, the strangled relationship with a daughter ; remembers that they have to drink blood... Yes, I had forgotten, they are vampires.

Vampires are supposedly everywhere. They are vampire judges, police, doctors and I wouldn't be surprised if the politicians were too. Soooo much potential in this story, but I felt it came short by focusing on pointless things, that felt unnecessary and long. We don't learn much about vampires, beyond that they can live forever, sunlight doesn't affect them and some have strange powers.

As I said in the beginning, I'm a picky reader, but I know what kind of book I was reading. I felt it was very creative and I did finish it quickly. The author has a great voice and imagination that bleeds (note my vampire allusion) in a fantastic way through each page. I was not expecting some of its twists and I was pleasantly surprised.

However, I can't help to note that I felt this story wanted to tell a lot in such a way that many characters, events and situations were seriously unnecessary and in many cases underdeveloped.

There were things and situations I didn't wanted to see, hear or have our characters say.

 photo seenoevilspeaknoevilhearnoevilDexter_zps5e3d2b6a.jpg

For example, the best friend Angie, and all the chapters devoted to their relationship... it just dragged on.
I had to challenge myself to continue reading this book when early on, Kat and Angie are out at night dancing, a sentence put me off entirely: 'Our continuous dancing like lesbian lovers seemed only to fuse the guy's persistence'. Argh! Stereotypes much? Why is this necessary? It didn't add anything to the story. I sort of understand what the author was trying to explain here, but...nope. Why is it necessary to add the word lesbian here? She is having fun with her girlfriend. Stereotyping behaviour of people with diverse sexual preferences bothers me.
However, this was not something that came back to the story, so I was glad to continue and give it a chance.

We learn at the beginning that Kat is a very sexual person. And true to her character, we get to read about steamy hot sex. It had lots of good very graphic sensual descriptions, leaving only small amounts to your imagination. Very sexy stuff!

Nick was a good male lead. Flawed , but his devotion redeems him. I liked him. I also liked Stephen and his welcoming personality. As you can already imagine, this book has a whole lot of story and characters in play.

There was simply too much unnecessary medical information. As a reader, I am looking to immerse myself in a story that is entertaining, not to read how medical equipment works, lab techniques and ways to analyse blood. Why was C.S.I. a  TV success? Because even though the main plot was to solve a case using lab-work, the story was focused on the interactions, observations and 'discoveries'; not the description of what equipment was used and the details of lab-work. Leaving much more room for imagination. Kudos for the research involved writing this book, but I would cut many of these.

There were a lot of grammatical errors, and editing that needs to be done. Particularly the second half has plenty of dialogues that never close the quotations.

I think I should stop. I could go on and on in stuff  I liked and stuff that I wasn't entirely sure. This means that the book was good enough to keep me engrossed. Yes it needs editing, yes it drags on unnecessary stuff, but I had fun.

I'm not sure that I would recommend it to anyone as it is. If it gets a revision I'll certainly would!

Very original.
If you like vampire novels or just a good erotic romance then you should read this book.
It has a great story line, strong characters, and ideas that make you think "that could really happen."
Of course it also has great sex scenes and lots of hard bodies!!
The book is available at amazon.com in e-book and paperback formats. It already has some very good reviews there as well.
Check it out.

Overall, the novel delivers a focused, emotionally anchored romantic narrative. It does not attempt to overcomplicate its premise, instead prioritizing clarity of character motivation and relational progression.

A solid addition for readers seeking contemporary romance that balances attraction with emotional introspection.

"You. Are. Mine. And everyone will know that you belong to me."

Working late at night as a nurse in the emergency room, Katherine is injected with blood from an unsuspected patient.  Before they can subdue him he disappears into the night leaving chaos in his wake. The emergency room is trashed, her colleagues are injured and her best friend Angie's neck is torn into . No one understands what just happened. As days pass, Kat starts feeling subtle changes - she can see things sharper, her hearing is better and her sense of smell is also heightened. She doesn't know what to make of all this. She is then visited by a strange man named Stephan warning her that her life is about to change.

Because of her newly acquired senses she discovers  all throughout their marriage her husband has been betraying her. But the timing couldn't have been any more perfect... she knows she's about to change. She leaves her home and seeks out Stephen. He immediately takes her under his wing and alongside her new irresistible bodyguard - Nick,  she is inducted  into her new life. Surprisingly, the change comes easy for her and she adapts well into her new life. But that isn't the extent of it. Somehow she develops special  skills  that catapult her into vampire stardom. The oldest of the old come seek her out. Will she be able to protect herself and her friends?

Talk about high breed vampires! Able to eat and drink, able to go into the direct  sunlight, can shape shift  on command and so much more. This vampire world in this story is different,  perfect almost- unbelievably too perfect. And it was honestly odd when you're so used to reading the more traditional vampire way of living which made this story so much more distinct.   I also loved that the medical talk was legitimately accurate and am surprised that this was categorized as more romance rather than urban fiction.

"We were one now, sharing the same blood, knowing every detail and secret about each other. Nothing was hidden. There was no shame. It was just tow vampires bearing our souls to each other, promising undying love."

I enjoyed Kat's character. How despite her husbands betrayal, the stress that she's under while dealing with Angie's choices and her life changing  right before her .... she was able to keep it together. She remained strong  and never was a woman scorned. Instead, with the help of her new-found  friends -  she fought back. So many times, I wanted to pat her on the back, cheer her on and say "You go , Girl!" She wasn't hesitant in building her new relationship with Nick either. I liked how natural their bond flowed and how her other relationships with her new family and friends evolved.

For a debut  book , I thought that this was a very good start.  The world building was satisfactory for a nontraditional vamp world. Despite the grammatical errors I enjoyed it and can't wait for the second in the series. I'm hoping that Vladimir and Angelique's story is just as enticing.

Great and interesting read! Not really a fan of vampire stories but this one was different. The story was interesting, believable and it came with a juicy romance!! I like Kat's character as an independent and strong woman who persevere's through many challenges and sorrow but ends up happy and with the guy!! The ending was exciting and I am definitely waiting for the second book to come out to continue the story.

One of the best in this genre

this was a surprisingly different 'vampire' books that I have read in a long time. it was a one sitting read that I couldn't put down. It had a lot of twists and turns that were totally unexpected. One of the few books I've read that I can highly recommend.
