Good read for the new and old reader. It is what any fantasy reader would want. Bought the second of my Uncle's work, and hope to read it soon. I can only hope the next was as good or better than this one, I totally admire my Uncle's sence of imagination and fun point of view. For all you who rated this lower, conisder me immature, but I read it once, had to read it again, and again, and every time I did I liked it more, there were things hidden in the text I had overlooked, and for a first time writer, Bryan did very well. The artwork for the cover could have been better, because the artwork for the next one is so much better, I just presume Lisa took more time in doing the second cover. Hey Agar! Hope you see this! :)

This book is extremely reminiscent of all the Sword of Shannara books. Same kind of plot, characters from all races, beautiful women, etc. It was not the most engrossing book I have ever read. The plot was just okay, both plot and dialogue were absolutely cliche for this genre, and the characterization was lacking. It felt rushed and like Bryan was trying too hard. Bryan, if you ever read this, your real life conversations are way more interesting. If you can somehow infuse that into your storytelling, and take a little more time developing the story, I think your next attempt could be better. For now, I give you two thumbs up and an A for effort!

I thought this book was a lot of fun. It has a sweetness to it mixed with fighting and adventure. I would compare it to a "Lord of the Rings" meets "Rangers Aprentice." Plus, I can't help love it because my cousin wrote it!!

My old construction boss wrote this, so I feel it's only my duty.
