I am having fun with this book . A writer’s cauldron contains of fourteen well written stories from each genres. Every strory has its specialty , but the one which impressed me is ‘Sweet Shop’. Marc Alexander has delivered a great modern version of a famous fairy tale , Hensel and Gretel which is more realistic and contains moral values. From this story , we can learn that life is not always running smoothly all the time , that’s why we should aware of strangers’ kindness because sometimes they hide a bad purpose . The next story that I choose as my favourite is ‘ Lamb to the Slaughter’ written by Roald Dahl . As far as I know , Roald Dahl was famous for his children stories , so I was surprise that he wote a crime story . ‘Lamb to the Slaughter’ is one of the smartest crime story I’ve ever read . The story is attractive , because the murderer is an ordinary housewife and no one could predict that she has made a perfect murder like that . Beside that , I also liked ‘Interview with the Vampire ‘ . I’ve watched the movie several time , but reading the book version is a new experience for me . Every dialog and even the characters had translated greatly into the movies. After all, I couldn’t find the weakness of this book . For me, this book is perfect .
