Yes, the photos could have been clearer and more relevant, and the organization and narrative improved, but I enjoyed this exploration of the history of the Santa Fe Trail. It is more a reference book than a historical narrative, but the timetable of events was helpful and the commentary under the then and now photos interesting. Skipped the diaries.
